WRITING & EDITING. I currently accept writing and editing assignments such as short articles, ad copy/advertorials, and Web pages. I do both soft copy and hard copy edits. I SEO your Web pages automatically. I do not do book manuscripts, research, fact-checking, or proofing jobs. With the exception of ongoing projects, most work is done on a first come, first served basis.

EXPERIENCE. I am a highly skilled writer with more than 35 years of writing and publishing experience. Almost everything I have ever written has been published, including 700-plus articles, 36 books (fiction and non-fiction), 8 contributing chapters, 52 short stories, 9 advice columns, 68 legal documents (contract templates), 11 advertising jingles, 6 keynote speeches, and literally thousands of pieces of ad copy, lyrics, poetry, and Web pages. I have also edited hundreds of book manuscripts as well as articles, doctoral theses, poetry, ad copy, and Web pages. I can provide you with a list of references on request.

FEES. I charge $45 per hour for writing and editing, unless you are an established publisher and my editorial services with you are ongoing, in which case my fees and payment terms are negotiable. In general, I write and edit very quickly. I try to provide clients with a price range for each project before I begin. If you have never hired a writer or editor before, please understand that it is almost impossible to provide an exact dollar amount for a project. No two writing or editing projects are ever exactly alike in their level of complexity. For example, to edit a 5,000-word article, my fee would likely range from $100-$150 depending on how many corrections must be made. With writing, if your instructions are unclear or you repeatedly change your mind, the cost of the writing/editing will go up.
